The Angels is a dedicated group of volunteers whose mission is to ease the burden of cancer for Wyoming cancer patients.
Many of these volunteers are cancer survivors or caregivers themselves. Though Casper is the headquarters for the Angels they have touched lives across Wyoming. Patients come to Casper for treatment and that is our opportunity to reach out and see what needs they might have that aren’t being met. It can be as simple as our Angels preparing and freezing meals for them to take back home with them. Any way to ease the hardships experienced during cancer care is our goal.
Each Angel has brings a different skill to the group. We have Angels that sew, bake, offer companionship, assist with lawn care/gardening, offer transportation services, transport much needed supplies/products. Whatever the request, we are willing to brainstorm and find a way to help each patient in need.
The Angels thrives by live by spreading the light by gifting patients throughout the year with goodies for holidays and special occasions. They check in with patients at Rocky Mountain Oncology during treatment to see if they have needs or just want to catch them up on life happenings.
The Angels are heavy handed in the execution of all fundraising events throughout the year and take pride in helping to raise money so that the Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care can provide non-medical assistance to patients.
These volunteers have been trained to conduct wig fittings in our Wig Boutique where we care for chemo patients losing their hair and provide them with useful tools that remind them that they are still beautiful.
There are trained mastectomy fitter Angels that will fit post-surgery patients and breast cancer survivors with mastectomy bras and prosthesis. Reuniting each patient with the symmetry and confidence to stand tall after beating cancer.

The Angels Cancer Care Program is a dedicated group of volunteers whose mission is to ease the burden of cancer for Wyoming cancer patients.
Many of these volunteers are cancer survivors or caregivers themselves. There are currently Angels in Casper and in Lander, but they have also sent care packages and helped provide assistance to patients all over Wyoming.
Each Angel has special skills to offer. Some volunteers make meals for patients so they don't have to worry about cooking during treatment days. Some volunteers help with housework, picking up prescriptions, or even gardening. Some volunteers even sit with patients during chemo or provide mentorship and emotional support.
The Angels put together treat bags during holidays for patients with homemade goodies, items to combat treatment side effects, and or fun trinkets just to brighten their days.
This year Thrive Causemetics donated eyeliner, eyebrow liner, eyeshadow, blush, and false eyelashes and glue!
We are thrilled to have this partnership with @thrivecausemetics
Thrive is committed to supporting our mission to ease the burden of cancer on Wyoming residents.
Thrive brings the power of beauty to our women, giving them strength and confidence as they fight cancer.
This wonderful group works hard in Casper to make sure all patients are taken care of. They not only provide for patient needs and provide mentorship, but they help organize and volunteer at all events to make sure we have plenty of funds to assist patients across Wyoming with their financial needs.
Our brand new breast boutique was set up using a grant from the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative this year! We have prostheses and bras in all common sizes and our trained fitters can help patients choose the right size so they don't have to order without knowing.
Many patients need assistance ordering their prostheses through insurance even with a prescription, and our fitters are able to help navigate those orders.
We do have some inventory in stock so we are also able to assist patients who do not have insurance or are unable to get a prescription.
