Led by a volunteer Board of Directors, the Foundation is privileged to support the values of care and compassion by regularly reviewing requests for support and actively looking for opportunities to help those involved in beating cancer.
Born and raised in Indiana, Jo moved to Wyoming in her 20's. Wyoming is now home, and the place she and husband John raised their 2 children. As a nurse she was encouraged by her employers to continue her education, becoming a PA in 1993. Jo became passionate about cancer care after her mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. She has been employed as a PA in both radiation and medical oncology for 9 years. Jo is active in the Wyoming association of PAs and was honored to be named PA of the year in 2006 and 2010. In 2015 she and Dr. Robert Tobin were honored with the PA/MD care team of the year award for outstanding patient care. Jo and her husband have 2 adult children and 2 grand daughters. They recently welcomed a Yorkie puppy to their family. She enjoys reading and travel.
IT ALL STARTED WHEN...
"I realized how much I enjoy helping others."
Kara was born in Fremont County, specifically Lander. She moved to Riverton and then Casper at a very young age. To Kara, family always comes first. She has a daughter, 6 nieces and nephews and enjoys spending time with all of them in the beauty of Wyoming's outdoors. Her absolute favorite thing to do is smile and laugh!
Kara has worked in healthcare since 2003 and with Rocky Mountain Oncology for 10 years. She is proud to have served on the WFCC Board for 7 years. She looks forward to many more years helping those with cancer.
Katelyn is originally from Baggs, WY. She graduated in 2018 from the University of Wyoming with Bachelor's in both Accounting and Agricultural Business.
