The Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care is proud to announce the Angels Cancer Care Program has joined us in our mission to help cancer patients throughout Wyoming. The Angels offer emotional support, financial assistance, transportation, meals and medication retrieval. The Angels Cancer Care Program educates the community about our program while raising much needed funds to support patients currently undergoing treatment. These funds are used for food and gas vouchers, prosthetics, wigs and more. The Angels Cancer Care Program is comprised of over 30 volunteers who are cancer survivors or volunteers that want to make a difference in the lives of cancer patients as they receive treatment. If you would like to volunteer, please click here.
On average, the Angels assist over 100 patients with direct needs i.e. rent/mortgages, utility payments, travel for treatments, groceries, etc. The Angels reach an average of 500 additional patients through activities at Rocky Mountain Oncology and Masterson Place; these include dinners, special occasion baskets to lift spirits and deliver Thanksgiving meals to patients and their families. Angel volunteers take patients under their wings through our mentoring program and holding patients hands while they go through treatment.
We are so excited to have such an amazing program and group of volunteers join us as we continue to grow and help more patients.
