WY Women's First Program End

WY WOMEN'S FIRST PROGRAM END

CASPER, WY – January 21, 2016 – The Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care, part of three nonprofits who participated in the WY Women’s First program, would like to announce the program end effective December 31, 2015.

The WY Women’s First program was launched in 2012. One third of Wyoming women never get their mammogram screenings mostly due to long travel distances and cost. The grant funding for the program was made possible through a partnership between Susan G. Komen for the Cure and GE.

The Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care will honor any existing vouchers until February 1, 2016. The Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care continues to support cancer patients and their families with non-medical needs. To donate or find out more, visit the website.

A separate program, the Wyoming Breast and Cervical Program, remains an available program for Wyoming residents in need. For more information on the program and to see if you qualify, details are available on their website here.
